A person who processes on behalf of another and, in addition, from the process form, provides supporting documentation of this fact or indicates that he acts as a representative (without prejudice to the subsequent requirement).

This documentation shows that you can carry out any procedure before any Administration (type A power) or any procedure before a specific Administration (type B). In these cases, it is good practice to recommend to the person appearing the possibility of registration in Representa, as it is likely to be used on more occasions.

On the other hand, when it appears from the documentation that you can carry out a one-off procedure before an Administration, which ends with the performance of the specific action (type C), good practice consists in asking if you will carry out more procedures and, if so, recommend the registration of a type A or B power of attorney.

When the recommendation is made, the person appearing must be informed that the registration of the representation is voluntary, the circumstances, their rights, the integrations of the register and emphasize that consent is required. He is also informed about the consequences that derive from it (ex officio checks by other Administrations).

Therefore, in the case of face-to-face procedures from the OAC or the OAMR, it must be checked whether the representation relationship is registered in Representa before entering a document and, if the result of the consultation is negative, registration can be recommended. For the procedures carried out through the electronic channel, the previous consultation must also be carried out, so it will be necessary to complete the integration of the back offices with Representa in advance.

In all 2 cases, it is advisable to indicate the following (via pop-up window, when they check the "representative", requirement or word box):

You have indicated that you are a representative of another person, in case you are able to carry out other procedures and actions on behalf of the same person, we recommend that you register the representation in Representa, the common electronic register of powers of attorney of the Catalan Public Administrations which is integrated with other similar registers. On the other hand, the above is not recommended if you are only going to carry out a procedure or if it is a one-off representation.

Registration in Representa is a legally valid means of accrediting and leaving reliable evidence of the existence of your representation, prior consent of the person concerned and authorization for the processing of personal data.

As the main advantages, it allows you to process on behalf of third parties in a more agile and simple way because the Public Administrations consult ex officio Representa (and the other electronic registers of integrated powers of attorney) and, therefore, you do not need to attach to the forms the documentation on which the representation is based. You can also manage your representations (adds, deletes, changes) yourself from the Representa citizen portal.

If the representation is only for a one-off procedure before an Administration, which ends with the completion of the specific action, you do not need to register with Representa.
